Within the monastery, an assembly hall where prayers are and a great idol of Gautama Buddha, Maitreya Buddha, and Tara temple, dedicated to the goddess Tara. The images are displayed on glass-covered wooden shelves. Additionally, there is the Lamokhang temple and the nunnery, which is home to a community of nuns who oversee the monastery’s administration. The monastery also hosts the Gustor ritual festival, celebrated in October-November.
Leh Palace built by Sengge Namgyal in the 16th century, is a nine-story building from which a stunning view of Leh and its surroundings can that will feel like heaven.
